A lot of heart goes into each mum corsage to reflect each students individuality. Parents or sweethearts can help in this creation process by providing information about special interests or favorite things and are encouraged to do so, as this enables Miss Heather to create something unique to celebrate the student (Examples: butterflies, roses, daisies, nicknames, animals, music, arts, pets, fishing, hunting, sports, etc).

Mum Style & Concept
The Texas homecoming mum tradition started in the early 1900’s at Baylor University in Waco. They were originally much smaller and made with real chrysanthemum flowers which were given by the suitor to a sweetheart on homecoming night. Gradually they have evolved from year to year, becoming the gigantic Texas sized “mega mums” we see today.
Miss Heather loves to create mums and can be found knee deep in ribbons and hot glue during the homecoming season.
She shys away from the more recent mum trend of what is now termed “mega-mums”, opting to place emphasis on adding dainty florals, diamonds and other sparkly things to make a smaller more elegant mum.
The goal is to deliver a mum that lights up smiles and makes everyone feel that they are a celebrated part of this unique Texas tradition.
Happy HOCO Ya’ll!
